The event was jointly held by the e-commerce platform Alibaba.com and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The decision to hold the event came within a memorandum of understanding between the two sides on promoting e-commerce in Vietnam.
Among the six winners, Vihaba’s Can Quang Sang, Proline’s Xuan Hai Yen, and Karofi’s Ha Thi Thu will represent Vietnam in the regional final round of the KEL Award, which is scheduled to take place in Hanoi later this year.
The KEL Award is designed to bring together the top suppliers from South Asia and Southeast Asia for them to share experience and learn from one another.
Mike Zhang, Director of Alibaba.com in Vietnam, said through this initiative, the company wants to inspire and facilitate Vietnamese enterprises to seize the opportunities on the global market in a more effective manner.
Vietrade Deputy Director Hoang Minh Chien said the programme also provides an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to express their voices and bring Vietnamese brands to the world.
