Doctor Ba, currently living in Ho Chi Minh City, is one of the first female doctors who traversed the Annamite (Truong Son) Mountain Range to the southern battlefield during the American war.
After national reunification, she continued to serve in the health sector as deputy director of Cho Ray Hospital and as deputy health minister.
On behalf of Party and State leaders, Thuong inquired after Ba, who had been honoured with the titles of Labour Hero and People’s Doctor, expressed his deep appreciation for her contributions and wished her good health.
The senior Party official also informed the former deputy health minister of the Covid-19 epidemic and bold efforts taken by the parties concerned to prevent the epidemic and ensure safety for the people.
