Joining the delegation were Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, and Phan Van Mai, member of Party Central Committee and Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.
At the visit, Politburo member Vo Van Thuong appreciated the efforts made by Ho Chi Minh City Public Security in closely coordinating with the military forces, departments, agencies, mass organisations and localities to uphold their pivotal and aggressive role in performing the task of ensuring political security and social order and safety.
He also noted that the key works in 2023 have set important requirements and tasks for the City’s Party Committee, authorities, and public security forces.

Thuong said that as the largest police force in the urban area of the country, Ho Chi Minh City public security officers and soldiers must make great efforts and sacrifices to maintain political security, social order and safety in the city.
On the same day, Permanent member of the Secretariat Vo Van Thuong visited and inspected the combat readiness at the Special Task Police Battalion No.2 under the Ministry of Public Security's Mobile Police High Command.
