Seminar on international law

At the event, participants praised Ambassador Nguyen Hong Thao, the first-ever Vietnamese diplomat elected to UN International Law Commission for the 2017-2021 term. This was regarded as a major milestone for Vietnam in international legal forums.

Participants also noted the launch of the Society of International Law this year, with Ambassador Nguyen Ba Son served as chairman.

The establishment of the body represents a significant step for the nation to reach parity with international legal development, empowering Vietnam's voice in international legal forums.
