The decision was announced in a document on the organisation of national high school exams 2021, signed by the MoET, and sent to the Chairmen of People’s Committees of centrally-run provinces and cities.
Under the document, the first phase is scheduled to be held from June 7-8 for low-risk places and localities.
The MoET asked the Chairmen of People’s Committees of centrally-run provinces and cities and relevant departments and agencies to implement a number of contents: enhancing their propaganda on the ministry’s policies regarding the exam in order to create consensus among the whole society; and thoroughly requiring candidates and organisers to strictly abide by the regulations on epidemic prevention and limit truly to unnecessary places.
The ministry also suggested localities to firmly grasp their own epidemic situation and conduct the exams in accordance with their own individual reality.
The MoET emphasised the strict implementation of epidemic prevention measures; the priority to testing and vaccination for participants in the exam’s organisation; the arrangement of exam venues and rooms; with full updates on the situation of candidates as affected by the COVID-19 epidemic.
Localities should send reports on the number of candidates participating in the second phase of the exam to the Ministry.
