Seaport waste treatment facilities need improvement
VTV.vn - In recent years, domestic seaports have made great progress in terms of both quality and quantity. As a result, port usage has increased. This however has raised many problems concerning waste deposited from ships in the ports.
It is necessary that other ports also have such facilities. This is because since 1991, Vietnam has joined the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from ships or MARPOL, aiming at minimising pollution of the oceans and seas, including dumping, oil and air pollution.
