The competition is aimed at finding the best young Asian fashion designers and this is the second time the contest has been held in Vietnam. More than 10 Vietnamese contestants made the final round.
Samurais were the theme for more than half of the contestants. Many contestants chose dark colours for their design to illustrate the strong and decisiveness of a warrior.
The Sakura Collection is expected to bring the culture and image of Japan closer to Vietnamese people, and promote further collaboration in fashion design between the two countries.
