Qatar to quit OPEC in 2019

VTV.vn - Qatar will be leaving the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) next month as announced by Energy Minister Saad al-Kaabi.

This is the first time a Middle Eastern country has pulled out of OPEC since it was formed.

The organization is scheduled to meet on December 6 to discuss policies and production plans for 2019.
