VTV.vn - Paris St Germain reached their first ever Champions League final with a convincing 3-0 win over RB Leipzig on Tuesday (Aug 18), finally delivering the reward of the biggest game in European football for their Qatari backers.

Goals from Marquinhos and Angel Di Maria put PSG 2-0 up at the interval and Juan Bernat added the third in the 56th minute for what was a comfortable victory at the Estadio da Luz.

* The A-League will reintroduce the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) for its post-season starting Saturday and stage all playoffs at Parramatta Stadium in western Sydney, Football Federation Australia (FFA) said on Tuesday. The A-League has been played without the VAR since resuming in July after a nearly four-month hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

* Brighton & Hove Albion have signed Sydney FC teenager Cameron Peupion after a trial at the English Premier League side, the A-League club announced on Tuesday. The central midfielder becomes the third Australian player at the English south coast club alongside Socceroos Mat Ryan and Aaron Mooy.

* Former England number one goalkeeper Joe Hart will compete to be number two choice to Hugo Lloris after signing for Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer on Tuesday (Aug 18). The 33-year-old signed a two-year contract with Spurs with the club reportedly agreeing to pay him £50,000 (US$66,000) a week, the same as his wages in an unsuccessful spell with Burnley.

* Lorient on Tuesday (Aug 18) announced the arrival of Chelsea defensive midfielder Trevoh Chalobah on a one-season loan without an option to buy.

* Barcelona have sacked Eric Abidal as sporting director, the club announced in a statement on Tuesday (Aug 18), a day after dismissing coach Quique Setien.
