Prolonged flooding in village in Kien Giang

The prolonged flooding has seriously impacted the lives and agricultural production of local residents here. Flooding caused by heavy rains earlier in the month was reported to have damaged roads leading into the village as well as a number of fruit crops in the locality. According to the Binh Son commune, anti-salinisation drainage gates are currently closed and will alleviate the situation if opened. The problem however, is the imbalance of water pressure in and outside the gates, making it impossible to open them right now.
