VTV.vn - Ho Chi Minh City is rolling out a series of traffic infrastructure projects with the hopes of alleviating congestion at hotspots around the city.

The first project recently approved by the Prime Minister will construct two overpasses at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Another project looks to connect the Vo Van Kiet road with Nguyen Van Cu bridge and is expected to take the pressure off traffic flow from Districts 1 and 5 to Districts 4 and 8. A third project that will also connect the Vo Van Kiet road to Nguyen Tri Phuong bridge began construction at the end of last year. The An Suong tunnel project in District 12 also broke ground before the Lunar New Year with the hopes of reducing the traffic jams and accidents that usually occur here.
