Prime Minister holds bilateral meetings on the sideline of COP 21

VTV.vn - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung also had meetings with leaders from France and other countries during the ongoing COP 21 in Paris.

At the meeting with President of the National Assembly of France- Claude Bartolone, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said Vietnam appreciates the contribution of the National Assembly of France and France Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group in promoting co-operation between the two countries.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung suggested that French government soon ratify Partnership and Co-operation Agreement and support the signing of free trade agreement between the EU and Vietnam. Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung proposed France to continue support, promote and facilitate businesses of the two countries and maintain ODA for Vietnam's development and implementation of sustainable development programmes.

This is the second time PM Dung hs met President of the French Senate Gérard Larcher in the last two years. At the meeting, Dũng conveyed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the terrorist attack in Paris. Dung also proposed that France supports Vietnam to implement commitments on climate change.

Prime Minister also had meetings with the leaders of 24 countries including the UK, Germany, South Korea and Japan. The PM proposed specific measures to strengthen co-operation and co-ordination with Vietnam at multilateral forums, and support Vietnam in the election to United Nation bodies. Prime Minister Dung said Vietnam would continue its role as a responsible members of the international community, and contribute to keeping peace, stability and co-operation for development in the region and internationally.
