This is the first official visit by a Vietnamese Prime Minister to Norway since the visit of late Prime Minister Phan Văn Khải in 1999. By the end of last year, bilateral trade turnover between the two countries exceeded 360 million US dollars.
The trip takes place as the two nations are about to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (1971 to 2021).
As scheduled, PM Phuc will hold talks and meet a number of Norwegian leaders, attend the Vietnam-Norway business forum, and visit and receive representatives from several Norwegian enterprises.
