President receives outgoing Australian ambassador

President Tran Dai Quang said Australia was one of Vietnam’s top trade and investment partners with two way trade increasing 10% every year to reach 5 billion USD in 2015.

He praised the contributions made by Australian businesses and investment projects to Vietnam’s socio-economic development. He hoped Australia would expedite the import of Vietnamese seafood and farm produce. State President Quang called for continued co-ordination at regional and global forums such as the East Asia Summit, APEC, and the UN.
