VTV.vn - Politburo member and Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan visited media agencies in Ho Chi Minh City on January 23 to welcome the Year of the Rat 2020.

While visiting Sai Gon Giai Phong (Liberated Saigon) Newspaper, the Party official showed his appreciation for the efforts of the reporters and editors of the newspaper over the past year.

He expressed his wish that upon entering the New Year, the newspaper w ill continue to develop further and maintain its role as one of the leading news agencies in the city.

Politburo member Nhan also visited Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) and the Vietnam Television (VTV) branch in Ho Chi Minh City. He wished the staff of the media agencies good health with the creation of new imprints in the New Year.

The city leader also paid pre-Tet visits to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Sang in District 10; the family of Nguyen Trung Tinh, a heavily wounded soldier; and Dinh Van Hue, a 72-year Party membership citizen in the city.

He wished them a New Year of good health and happiness.

*Secretary of the Party Central Committee and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Tran Thanh Man joined leaders of Can Tho city to present 50 Tet gifts to policy beneficiary families and needy households in An Hoi ward, NinhKieu district, Can Tho city.

At the presentation ceremony, which took place on January 23, the VFF leader extended his best Tet wishes to the Can Tho leaders and people, with the hope that they will welcome a warm and happy Tet 2020.
