PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc noted that Vietnam is particularly interested in experience and measures to cope with climate change and hoped the Netherlands would provide more assistance in the field.
The PM also applauded the Netherlands' Delta Programme which was launched in 2010 to prevent floods, ensure water supply for agriculture and industry, and cope with climate change in urban areas.
Borst said he was ready to share his individual experience and support Vietnam in water management and climate change adaptation.
As part of PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc's working visit to the Netherlands from July 8-11. The Netherlands and Vietnam issued a joint statement.
The two prime ministers used the statement to reiterate how pleased they were with the comprehensive and substantive development of the Netherlands-Vietnam relations in all areas.
The two PMs noted that the two nations would celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2018. Both sides agreed to organise events to celebrate the event.
