With the latest adjustments, which took effect from 15:30 on October 3, a litre of RON 92 petrol will rise to VND18,139 and E5 bio petrol to VND17,644. However, the prices of diesel and kerosene were cut by VND163 and VND74 per litre respectively. Mazut was also down by VND206 per kilogram.
This is the second consecutive rise in petrol prices since a sharp reduction of VND1,198 per litre early last month.
According to the two ministries, there have been fluctuations in fuel prices on the global market lately, with a barrel of RON 92 petrol averaging US$62.292 during the period from September 18 to October 2, up US$4 from the previous two weeks.
