The conference also looked to expand peaceful nuclear power projects by 2020. Over 120 experts in the field attended this event alongside representatives of relevant government agencies. Vietnam has successfully implemented nuclear technology into the health sector with 90% of hospitals equipped with X-ray scanners.
Vietnam can now manufacture nuclear detectors used in coal mining, and irradiation technologies in aquaculture and agriculture production. The country aims to increase the effectiveness of these technologies in the coming time.
