The province's Border Guard said guards successfully rescued all crewmen from the two fishing ships on Wednesday night. The ships were floating freely at sea when the crewmen made a call for help. After receiving their distress signal, the Cua Viet border guard deployed rescue ship CN09 to bring all crewmen safely to shore. Earlier on Sunday, 10 other crewmen on the sinking ship An Phu Khang 079 carrying 1,500 tonnes of fertilizer from Dong Nai Province to Hai Phong City were also rescued by the Quang Tri border guard.
