Speaking at the event, Deputy PM Binh praised the positive results achieved through the patriotic emulation movements of the information and communications sector in recent times.
He also asked the MIC to focus on implementing a number of key tasks including advising the national strategic direction in information and communications development and application; formulating appropriate policies to mobilise domestic and international human and financial resources to ensure an advanced information infrastructure, towards meeting all needs of 4.0 technology development.
More attention should be paid to developing postal infrastructure in the direction of promoting digital transformation; stepping up the application of information technology, shifting from an e-Government to a digital government; and ensuring network safety and security, he added.
Also on October 12, the Committee for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises (CMSC) held the first Patriotic Emulation Congress for the 2021 - 2025 period.
At the congress, eight collectives were awarded the Government's Emulation Flag, nine collectives were awarded the Emulation Flag of the CMSC, and 30 outstanding individuals received the Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the CMSC.
