In his meeting with Indian Ambassador Sandeep Arya, Nghia congratulated India on the successful 18th Lok Sabha (lower house of the Indian parliament) elections and the formation of a new government in June.
Praising the flourishing Vietnam-India comprehensive strategic partnership, particularly the positive outcomes of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's recent state visit to India, Nghia urged both countries to continue working closely together to realise high-level agreements reached during the visit, foster relations in the "Five More" direction agreed upon by the two PMs, and deepen political trust and cooperation in various areas in a substantive way.
Arya said with similar cultures and civilisations, and mutual goodwill among their people, both nations have a common aspiration to build strong and prosperous countries.
He called for continued cooperation to align with contemporary global trends and support the rapid and sustainable development goals of each country.

Receiving Japanese Ambassador Ito Naoki, Nghia hailed the Japanese Embassy’s proactive efforts in advancing bilateral relations across various fields over the past years.
Vietnam always considers Japan a key strategic partner with shared interests and ample potential for mutual development, he said, urging the embassy to continue serving as a bridge to intensify bilateral cooperation across the Party, State, parliamentary, people-to-people and locality-to-locality exchange channels.
Ambassador Ito, for his part, highlighted the significance of the upgrade in ties, describing it as a milestone reflecting the fine development of bilateral relationship over the past five decades. He expressed hope that both sides would strengthen their cooperation further and in greater depth in the coming years.
