The third quarter competition of the 24th season of Road to Olympia Mount featured intense competition among the four contestants: Nguyen Tuan Minh (Chu Van An High School - Hanoi), Vo Quang Phu Duc (Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted - Thua Thien Hue), Dang Duy Khanh (Lao Cai High School for the Gifted), and Phan Duy Hung (Son Tay High School - Hanoi).

The contestants shared their feelings before the competition. Tuan Minh, from Hanoi, brought a grapefruit he picked in his schoolyard as his good luck charm. Tuan Minh and Phu Duc shared a warm hug before the contest began.
In the Individual Warm-up round, Phu Duc and Duy Khanh led with 50 points each. Tuan Minh followed with 40 points, and Duy Hung had 30 points. During the common warm-up round with 12 questions, Phu Duc excelled by answering six questions correctly and led with 105 points. Duy Khanh followed with 45 points, while Tuan Minh and Duy Hung both had 40 points.
The Overcome Obstacle round required a 15-letter word. Tuan Minh and Duy Khanh correctly answered the first question about the song "Qua miền Tây Bắc" with "Chiến thắng." For the second question, none of the contestants provided a correct answer. Before MC Khanh Vy finished reading the third question, Duy Khanh buzzed in and correctly answered "Sự kiện Vịnh Bắc Bộ," earning 40 points and bringing his total score to 95 points.
In the Speed-up round, the contestants needed to answer quickly to score points. Tuan Minh excelled in the first two questions, and gained the highest score. Phu Duc took the lead in the geometry question. Duy Khanh answered the final question the fastest, earning 40 points. At the end of this round, Phu Duc had 195 points, Tuan Minh 170 points, Duy Hung 110 points, and Duy Khanh 135 points.
In the Finish round, Phu Duc went first, leading with the highest score. He chose a set of 20-20-30 points but answered none of them correctly. Tuan Minh took the opportunity to answer and raised his total to 190 points, surpassing Phu Duc. However, Tuấn Minh also struggled with his questions and lost 20 points to Phu Duc, who then regained the lead. In his final question, Tuan Minh closed the gap, trailing Phu Duc by just 5 points.

Next is the part about Tuan Minh reaching the finish line. The young man shared that he didn't think he could get this far in the program and expressed his desire to bring glory to Chu Van An High School on television. However, Tuan Minh was unfortunate as he couldn't provide correct answers for the first 2 questions, giving Phu Duc 20 points and losing his chance to take the lead. By the third question, Tuan Minh's excellent performance allowed him to close the gap to Phu Duc, who was leading by only 5 points.
