The incense offering is in line with Vietnam’s tradition of paying tribute to ancestors and those who contributed to the nation on the occasion of the lunar New Year. The memorial site is located about 70km to the west of central Hanoi in the countryside of Ba Vi. In May 1957, President Ho Chi Minh decided to choose the location as an ideal place for the Party Central Committee get away and work and relax. Many of the decisions and instructions of the Party Central Committee were issued here. On this occasion, the Party chief planted a tree in front of President Ho Chi Minh’s house for working at the relic site.
