The memorial site is located about 70km to the west of central Hanoi in the countryside of Ba Vi. In May 1957, President Ho Chi Minh decided to choose the location as an ideal place for the Party Central Committee get away and work and relax. Many of the decisions and instructions of the Party Central Committee were issued here, contributing to the liberation of the south and the national reunification in 1975. The party chief used the occasion by planting a tree in front of President Ho Chi Minh’s house at the site.
