This is due to the reduction of exportmarkets, the rise in product prices, and the strict monitoring process of importing countries. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Vietnam’s pangasiusindustry is risky because of restrictions in farming techniques, processing, and consumption. To overcome this, the Vietnam Pangasius Association and export businesses are actively seeking new markets. In the first 6 months, the prices of raw fish in the Mekong Delta provinces increased by 18 USD per kilogramme, compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, the export market fell by 10% in volume.
