Earlier, delegates to the 5th session of the 16th Lao Cai provincial People’s Council voted to approve a resolution relieving Tran Huy Tuan from the position of Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee for the 2021–2025 tenure as he was assigned by the Party Central Committee’s Politburo and the Secretariat to serve as Vice Secretary of the Ninh Binh provincial Party Committee and elected by the Ninh Binh provincial People’s Council as Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee.
Before being elected Chairman of the Lao Cai provincial People’s Committee, Anh served as Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee. He held various leadership positions in the banking sector and central agencies, and previously served as Chairman of the Yen Bai provincial People’s Committee.
At its session, the council also discussed and approved numerous proposals and resolutions of the provincial People’s Council and People’s Committee.
