The floral street stretches over 720m, and features more than 130,000 flowerpots with over 150 different species of flowers. The event carries the theme "Ho Chi Minh City- Steady Rise," and promotes the three qualities of Ho Chi Minh City as a characteristic city with sentimental attachment, a Smart City, and a Creative Urban Hub. Pigs were chosen as the sacred animals for the Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2019. Instead of focusing on technology, this year's festival features many different flower designs. The highly anticipated annual flower show will be open to the public until the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, or February 8th, 2019.
