VTV.vn - According to Government Decree 86/2014, transportation enterprises must install vehicles with tracking devices and to supervise traffic safety. This is part of the efforts to ensure efficient transportation management nationwide.

For this company, installing tracking systems in all of its cars may result in a big bill. However, they think the tracking system is a good way of managing their fleet, and have been using the system since 2012. Customers are much more comfortable as they are no longer overcharged or feel insecure.

Currently there are 91 taxi businesses operating in Hanoi with around 18,000 vehicles. Recognizing the practical benefits of the monitoring system, the Hanoi Department of Transportation has asked big transportation companies to take the lead in setting up the system in their cars. Thanks to the system, authorities can control the number of unregistered vehicles in the locality.

According to both authorities and businesses, the new regulations will not only bring huge benefits to customers, but also support businesses and ensure fair competition. Above all, the new regulation’s ultimate goal is to to reduce the number of transport accidents and protect customers.
