The seminar aimed to share the views and directions of the investment incentive policies with businesses, as well as the real situation and solutions of associated transactions in Vietnam.
Speaking at the seminar, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Vũ Đại Thắng said that after 30 years of attracting foreign direct investment (FDI), Vietnam has accomplished many achievements in terms of registered capital and disbursement.
The FDI sector plays an important role in the Vietnamese economy, as well as helping Vietnam promote foreign relations. However, the attraction of FDI is limited, evident for example in the low localization rate. From such limitations, the authorities will develop a new FDI attraction policy in order to attract more select and high-tech investment projects in the future.
