Compared to 2017, 2018 saw an increase of 100 social networks. On average one new social network is registered every week. The main licensed areas are entertainment, education, cars, and motorbikes. Many experts said that the quantity of social networks created in Vietnam is high but the quality is still limited due to the lack of investment in technology infrastructure. This means many Vietnamese social networks crash easily when a large number of visitors log in at the same time.
