In addition, more than 7,000 illegal videos on Youtube have been put down. These statistics were announced at a conference that was held by the Ministry of Information and Communications yesterday morning in Hanoi. There are more than 134 million mobile phone subscribers, over 65 million Facebook users, and YouTube has 30 million monthly users.
There have been a number of violations on Youtube ads recently so the Ministry is creating a code of conduct for service providers and social network users in Vietnam. The Ministry has imposed fines on Viettel, Vinaphone, and Mobiphone for illegal sims that are still being used. However, the ministry has given licenses to these three providers to pilot the 5G network and to test out mobile money payments for their subscribers.
