The National Assembly Chairman revealed that the laws under discussion this time are mostly the implementation of the Constitution, related to human rights and legal issues. Opinions on the laws on referendum and access to information will be gathered.
The National Assembly is expected to discuss other important laws including the amended Criminal Procedure Code, amended Civil Code, Law on Temporary Custody and Detention and Law on Information Security.
The NA Standing Committee will also gather opinions on Vietnam’s possible adoption of the 1980 Vienna Convention or the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The 40th session will last until August 18th.
