NA chairwoman begins official visit to France
VTV.vn - National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and a high-ranking delegation from the Vietnamese NA arrived in Paris on March 30.

The arrival marked the beginning of an official visit to France at the invitation of President of the French NA Richard Ferrand.

A parliamentary partnership between the two countries has been developing with regular delegation exchanges and collaboration in multilateral parliamentary forums. France is Vietnam's fourth largest trade partner in Europe. The country achieved a two-way trade value of 5.1 billion USD with Vietnam in 2018, ranking third among European countries.

It is the 16th biggest investor in Vietnam with a total investment of 2.8 billion USD, and the leading European ODA provider with total committed capital of 3 billion EUR. The three-day visit aims to strengthen the strategic partnership between Vietnam and France and marks a new milestone in the two countries' parliamentary relationship.
