The first map provides information to watch out for flooding due to high sea levels during storms. The map was built for 28 coastal provinces and cities. The second flooding map is used for flooding due to dam breaking and reservoir water release.
The map is designed for the reservoirs on the basins of Red River, Mã River, Vu Gia Thu Bồn River, Ba, Srê-pôk and Sê San rivers. The General Department of Natural Disaster Prevention presented these maps to relevant ministries and localities so that they have better prepare for natural disasters.
