VTV.vn - Today is the third day of Ho Chi Minh City's social distancing order under the principles of the Prime Minister's Directive 16.

At a meeting held this morning chaired by Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam and the HCMC Steering committee for COVID19 Prevention and Control, the issue of how to support people and the organization of quarantine and vaccinations were discussed.

According to a report by the City Steering Committee, many activities have been implemented to provide support to people, especially for 16,000 poor and disadvantaged people. Among them, the use of mobile vehicles to carry and distribute essential goods to people in Hoc Mon and Binh Tan districts, after a pilot period, will be expanded to other areas. The city will also pay attention to those not eligible for social welfare as well as 225,000 self-employed workers. 18,000 beds will be added to the field hospital.

The city will also change testing permits accordingly to create favorable conditions for travel and the movement of goods.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam emphasized that the strategy now is to consider home isolation for patients with mild symptoms. Regarding vaccinations, medical experts noted that the allocation of injection areas is crucial and that data will be re-assessed after 5 days.
