The city is actively investigating the epidemiological history of all cases to control the source of infection. There are 654 community cases under epidemiological investigation.
According to the update of the municipal Department of Health, to date, the city has 21 active Covid-19 outbreaks, including 5 in markets, 9 in residential areas, and 7 in industrial parks. It is currently assessing the zoning risks to decide on which areas to blockade and which to screen and test.
The Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City also held a meeting to deploy the fifth phase of the Covid-19 vaccination campaign with an initial expected number of 1.1 million doses to be given in the next 3 weeks.
Vulnerable people living in high-risk locations in the city will be prioritized for the jabs.
