This was confirmed at a seminar discussing e-commerce policies held this morning by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in HCMC.
It is forecasted that by 2020, mobile e-commerce will account for 25% of worldwide retail sales. In Vietnam, this figure is likely to reach $300 million.
At the seminar, participants also commented on two major e-commerce documents, including the Prime Minister’s Decision on e-commerce development for the 2016-2020 period and a Circular regulating mobile e-commerce transactions.
