Artists from Tân Hà Nội Company, led by painter Nguyễn Thu Thủy, worked for two months to complete the murals using ceramic pieces. The 360sq.m murals cover two walls of the T2 Terminal and depict a lotus pond with lotus flowers in full bloom.
The murals are reflected on a real water pond and window system, creating a spectacular view and making it look very life-like.
The project is part of an effort to upgrade the quality of services at the airport and introduce Vietnamese culture and art to international visitors upon their arrival.
Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Deputy Director of Noi Bai International Airport, said that the artwork was one of activities to improve the quality of service, towards satisfying passengers. The artwork won the bronze medal at the 10th International Design Awards.
