The lack of capital and complications in land clearance are slowing down the construction which was discussed at a conference last Wednesday. At this conference, leaders of the Ministry of Transport stressed its determination to start the construction work in 2020 and complete the first phase in 2025.
However, calling for investment for the private sector is not an easy task. In addition, current mechanisms for land clearance are also a hindrance to the project. Experts said Long Thanh Airport's construction will require more effort from the authorities.
