The first phase of the factory was completed with a capacity of 50,000 cars per year and disbursed capital of about 307 million USD.
Covering an area of 30.3 ha at the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, the plant is equipped with cutting-edge technologies, meeting global standards of Japan's Mazda Group. Also on the same day, the international shipping route linking Chu Lai and Japan was inaugurated, welcoming the first vessel transporting automobile spare parts and equipment from Japan's Hiroshima prefecture to the Chu Lai Port.
