According to the plan by France's ADP Ingénierie (ADPi), a company specializing in airport architecture and engineering, a 200,000 square metre passenger station will be built to the south to serve 20 million passengers per year.
The golf course and 16 hectares to the north managed by the Ministry of National Defense will be used to build supporting facilities from 2025. The plan was discussed in a transparent manner with the approval of Ho Chi Minh's authorities, the prime minister said, and added that it will help the airport serve at least 50 million passengers per year.
