Localities across Vietnam saw a boom in the number of tourists during the five-day holidays of Hung Kings Commemoration Day, Reunification Day and International Workers’ Day with about 7.3 million domestic and international visitors in total.
The northern province of Phu Tho welcomed the largest amount of visitors with 5.4 million people. The country achieved a total revenue of about 1.02 billion USD, up 9% over the same period last year.
The three localities with the highest total revenue were Ho Chi Minh City, Thanh Hoa, and Hanoi. According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, travel activities continue to recover.
The increase in international visitors also shows that strategically, the industry is headed in the right direction.
