Delegates at the event reviewed the country’s struggle for national independence and freedom under the leadership of the Party as well as the glorious victory of the August Revolution, which marked the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam).
They also highlighted the city’s socio-economic achievements during its 15-year implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 45 on building and developing Can Tho in the industrialisation and modernisation process.
On the same day, leaders of Ha Giang Province offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh at his monument in Ha Giang City.
Over the past several years, Ha Giang provincial authorities and people have promoted solidarity and rallied all efforts to gain significant and comprehensive outcomes in all areas.
Also, on August 31, the Lam Dong provincial Party Committee held a symposium to shed light on President Ho Chi Minh’s Declaration of Independence.
The total of 28 speeches at the event discussed the historical, theoretical, and practical values of the document in the national liberation in the past as well as the country’s construction and defence today.
Participants also analysed lessons learnt from the document in enhancing Party’s leadership and fighting capacity towards building a strong and transparent Party.
