Lobster price climbs to record height

The price of tropical rock lobster ranges between 79.2 US dollars and 83.6 US dollars per kilogram in Van Ninh District, Khanh Hoa Province and Song Cau Town, Phu Yen Province.

The price of blue lobster ranges between 35.2 US dollars to 39.6 US dollars, which indicates a 8.8 US dollar rise since the middle of the year. The rise is due to farmers' struggles with flooding and mass lobster deaths in the past 2 years. Although the price has reached new record high, the profit is not enough to compensate for the lost lobsters.
