Exactly 70 years ago, after the signing of the Geneva Accords (1954), President Ho Chi Minh and the Party Central Committee made a strategic decision to send a large number of children of cadres, soldiers and fellow countrymen from the south to the north to train them as officials and military personnel who would later contribute to the building of socialism in the north and the liberation of the south.
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of this special event, Vietnam Television and the Party's Commission for Communication and Education coordinated the production of the television broadcast "Northward Movement - Deep Love and Profound Meaning" from three places: Ca Mau, Hai Phong and Thanh Hoa.
The program aims to pay tribute to the country's historic turning points and the sacrifices and efforts made by past generations for the country's peace, freedom, happiness and prosperity. It also emphasizes the significance of the northward movement.
The TV program "Northward Movement - Deep Love and Profound Meaning" will be broadcast on November 16 at 20:10 on VTV1. Stay tuned!
