Prof. Khe, a seasoned musicologist, academic, writer, teacher and performer of traditional music, died at 2:55 am on Wednesday. According to doctors, he was suffering from lung, heart and kidney problems. Professor Khe said in his will that he wanted to be laid to rest following Buddhist funeral rites. His coffin will be kept at his home in Binh Thanh District for a week to ten days.
His house, which was given to him by Ho Chi Minh City authorities, will later be used as a commemorative house to remember him and his contribution to traditional Vietnamese music.
