Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and Myanmar President Thein Sein attended a ceremony of phase 1 of the Hoang Anh Gia Lai Complex in Yangoon and the inauguration ceremonies for the Finance Company and Insurance Corporation of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV).
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung also witnessed the signing of a number of agreements between BIDV and Myanmar banks. He praised the Association of Vietnamese investors in Myanmar and Vietnamese businesses for promoting business ties, helping to increase two-way trade to 500 million USD this year. He asked the association to continue supporting Vietnamese businesses to invest in Myanmar in areas including finance, banking, trade, investment, and real estate.
