Stay Alert 247 on VTV2, , which also airs on Saturday evenings, inherits that spirit but in a new format that is more direct, more updated, and multi-platform. Not only does the program warn about increasingly complex scams in finance, banking, e-commerce, and loan-sharking, but it also affirms its mission of accompanying citizens in a digital society and helping to safeguard economic security and public trust.
“Our program serves as a protective shield, alerting audiences with timely updates on the latest scams, and exposing sophisticated tricks. We offer explanations and analyses from cybersecurity and psychology experts, and offering guidance and skills for citizens to protect themselves from fraud. It transforms dry knowledge into an accessible security handbook, empowering people to protect themselves and their communities”, shared the production team.
At the launch, journalist Trinh Quoc Dong, Deputy Head of the Science and Education Department at VTV, emphasized that the significance of Stay Alert 247 goes beyond issuing warnings. It is also a form of social action, where television, banking institutions, and law enforcement join forces to create a collective shield that safeguards the peace of every Vietnamese family.
“One wrong message could cost you money, but one minute of vigilance could save your fortune. That is the philosophy of Stay Alert 247”, said Journalist Trinh Quoc Dong. “For the Science and Education Department and VTV2 - the national science and education channel - law, public safety, and security are key pillars of development. We have produced familiar programs such as Understanding the Law Every Day and Escape Skills. Now we move forward with Stay Alert 247 - a more modern and direct format that reconstructs real criminal cases, analyzes scams, and dissects victim psychology. Most importantly, it turns dry law into practical life skills. Our goal is to ensure that no viewer stands alone against high-tech crime, and that no warning information goes to waste. Instead, it will become a ‘digital immune system’ for the community. We want the law to reach every home, every phone, and every money transfer decision.”
