The event attracted the participation of some 100 writers, poets and literature critics from the 6 countries in the region. Participants reviewed the co-operation activities in recent years and agreed to expand exchange activities such as conferences and residential programme for artists. They also made plans to translate outstanding literary works of member countries to improve mutual understanding between people. At the conference, 12 artists were honoured for their contribution and works, including two Vietnamese writers Nguyễn Ngọc Mộc and Cao Xuân Thái./.
