Flight VN227 from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City touched down at 9.40am this morning, marking the 600,000th safe flight. According to the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation the company has been tested by the increasing numbers of flights.
Statistics from VATM shows that since the beginning of 2015, VATM has operated 635,000 safe flights including 2,200 chartered flights. Total revenue was estimated at S$178 million. This corporation is currently providing flight operation services to over 22 domestic airline routes and 34 international routes, servicing nearly 150 airlines that fly through Vietnam’s airspace.
So far, there are 51 international airlines from 25 countries and territories currently operating in Vietnam with 83 routes to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Nha Trang. VATM is upgrading its technology and workforce to meet the requirements of integration.
The dramatic increase in flights is a milestone for VATM in ensuring flight safety, helping Vietnam’s aviation industry reach new heights.
